What An adaptation of our 7-hour retreat/workshop offering insight into the background of this ancient personality “inventory,” a narrative orientation to the nine personality types (as well as an engagement of The Wagner Enneagram Personality Style Scales [WEPPS]), and some sense of next steps in the journey to “true self.”
  • Teaching Biblical Faith for Spiritual Formation

What An online course (developed and facilitated by Jim Reiter for the Dick & Julia Wilke Institute for Discipleship and BeADisciple.com) focused on the dynamics of learning and teaching the Bible—with an eye to those components which facilitate spiritual formation.

  • Reel Theology:
    Focused Discussions
    at the Intersection of Hollywood and Divine
    facilitated by Jim Reiter
    First United Methodist Church; Somerville, Texas
    Tuesdays, March 3, 17 & 31, 2020 (6:00 to 7:30 PM)
What Join us for this 3-week, Lenten “Film Festival”–exploring aspects of the spiritual formation journey (of being conformed to the image of Jesus our Lord).

Themes we’ll visit include…
the importance and meaning of community in our journeys,
the Christian life as a journey to our “true selves” in Christ,
the resistance we experience in the journey of faith, and
the rewards of persevering in our journeys.

Each evening will follow the same format:
* taking 30-40 minutes to engage a synopsis (including key scenes)
   from the evening’s feature film
* taking another 30-45 minutes of discussion (aimed as much
   at raising questions for ongoing reflection as at any kind
   of firm answers or conclusions)
  • Introduction to the Enneagram
    A six-Hour Workshop
    at Texas Annual Conference Offices (5215 Main Street)
    in Houston (Thursday, April 2, 2020)
